Veliko Tarnovo

Yesterday and today I made a short trip to Veliko Tarnovo - one of my favorites cities in Bulgaria. And because it isn't still "V.Tarnovo daily", I decided to post a detail of this very expressive monument - the "Asens". It is related to bulgarian history, as V.Tarnovo was capital of The Second Bulgarian Empire, which existed between 1185 and 1396 and was ruled by the "Asens" dynasty. The author - Prof. Krum Damianov is one of the best bulgarian sculptors.
