Yesterday and today I made a short trip to Veliko Tarnovo - one of my favorites cities in Bulgaria. And because it isn't still "V.Tarnovo daily", I decided to post a detail of this very expressive monument - the "Asens". It is related to bulgarian history, as V.Tarnovo was capital of The Second Bulgarian Empire, which existed between 1185 and 1396 and was ruled by the "Asens" dynasty.
