the doctors monument

A detail from the doctors monument, dedicated to the doctors killed in the russo - turkish war 1877-78. All the names are written on the stones. This monument gives the name of the "doctors garden" one of my favorite photo-capture places.

I learned that 300.000 Russians were killed in this war that gave the Bulgarians independence from the Turks.
