Looking up in the chimney of the monastery kitchen -"magernitza"

Gulp ... what an unusual image. The perspective and the pattern draws the eye totally up to the exit hole. I do not understand how the draught works in a chimney but I suppose the smoke bounces off those little bits and winds up the chimney.

This is wonderful. I will have to stick my head up the first chimney I come across now.
