There's so much that I like in this picture! I love St. George's and the contrast with the surrounding buildings. I'm curious about the coloration of the bricks . . . and what about those gorgeous arched windows? Snow really adds to this picture.

Eigentlich eine Frage: ist der bau symmetrisch, d.h. ist er unter kreuzkuppelkirche zu subsummieren, erbaut als materialisierung der idee "per crucem ad lucem", oder ist er ursprünglich ein baptisterium gewesen, wie es für rotunden um das 4.-10. jh. typisch gewesen?
